Tinga Taqueria in New Jersey

"I ate here for the first time, so I decided to go simple for the first time. If simple is good, then so should the rest. I ordered a small cup of their chicken, rice, bean, veggie soup. What a great burst of flavors in that soup!! For entree, I ordered the chicken street tacos. Usually a chicken taco in other places are bland. Not this spot, their chicken taco was seasoned and had herbs. It was so delicious! I can tell this place is authentic and recipe was well thought out. Don't be sold by fancy looking places, usually a humble looking spot is the gem of great food. Like this place. Was clean and the service was great. I'm very picky with food, as I am a hard-core foodie. Will be returning again!"

"Went to Tinga for some dinner and the food was very good and authentic. We ordered the jalapeño poppers and chicken and vegetable soup for appetizers. For dinner we got the carne asada burrito and steak quesadilla which I did not get to take photos of because we were so hungry! The jalapeño poppers and soup were delicious and the steak was charred and very tasty. The chips with different salsas and guacamole were delicious as well. I recommend the tinga salsa! For dessert we got xangos and churros which were both delicious. Maybe a little less caramel on the churros would be even better to taste its crispiness. Definitely try this out if you are in the mood for mexican food and in the area!"
